The following list is a guide to all the club trips and events that will occur during 2012. As more details are known and confirmed, information will be updated on this page. Also, when published, a downloadable trip invitation form in PDF format will be available adjacent to the relevant trip.

The Swarm Storm!Thursday 22nd March 2012 Location: Thorpe Park, UK Welcome to 2012 and here's your chance to 'storm' down to Thorpe Park, Surrey for our first event of the year "The Swarm Storm!". Having successfully completed its first test runs the latest B&M wing coaster is almost complete and so to start the new coaster season I have arranged for a fun day at the Park. Taking place on Thursday 22nd March, "The Swarm Storm!" will have us meet in the morning (approx. 09:30) where we will have early access to the Park for the first few Swarm rides. Then it's over to Stealth for a ride takeover before enjoying a thrilling day in the Park sampling all the other attractions like: Nemesis Inferno, Colossus, Saw, Rush, Slammer, Samurai, X:/No Way Out, Detonator, Vortex, Rumba Rapids, Zodiac and more! Then the big finale - At the end of the day (approx. 17:30) you will be able to enjoy the first ever ERS on Swarm! No public, just us! What a way to end the day and what a way to start the 2012 coaster season! The cost is just £27.00 per person, saving a massive £13.80 on the regular price! You may bring guests at the same price and if you have a Merlin Season Pass the cost is just £6.00! You will have to show this on the day to gain entry. Members 11 years old and under can attend for just £21.00 and for those under 1 metre tall, it's absolutely free! Full trip details and trip badge will be sent nearer the booking deadline March 14th. Blackpool Bash 2012Friday 13th April to Sunday 15th April 2012 Location: Blackpool, UK Everybody say "Blackpooooool!!!!" Yes it's that time again! Come along an start the coaster season in style at our biggest, most famous, action packed, super fun, Coaster Crazy weekend of them all: The Blackpool Bash! By far the best way to meet members, enjoy some fantastic coasters and see some quality live entertainment. This is one trip that you'll be talking about for weeks. So please come along and join in the fun! The theme for 2012 is 'Sports Day' in line with it being an Olympic Year. So get started planning your outfits! The information below is an example itinerary of the event based on the 2011 trip. The exact details for the 2012 event will be announced in due course and will be contained on the trip invite which will be posted to your door and appear on this page. A taste of what will be coming up this weekend.......... The weekend of non-stop action starts with 'Friday Fun' at 19:45 on Friday evening in the Paradise Room. Here you can enjoy a drink before sharing a great evening of top quality professional entertainment. Following 'Friday Fun' you can have another drink or two before the 23:00 close. Saturday events start from 09.15 in the Paradise Room (tea/coffee, wristband issue). At around 10:00, we will head onto the Park for a combined one-hour Exclusive Ride Session (ERS) on The Big One and the classic Steeplechase. Following this you have free time to enjoy the Park and either use your 'season pass' or if you have pre-purchased one, an unlimited ride wristband. At 11:30 those who want to can meet at the Derby Racer for a 'ride-take-over', and then everyone will re-group at 12:30 for lunch in the Paradise Room. The latest Club merchandise will be on display and available for purchase during lunch. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy the Park at your leisure before we then meet at 17:00 (time confirmed on day) at the World's #1 racing woodie, The Grand National for another one hour ERS and some hand slapping coaster crazy fun! You can then enjoy the early evening at your leisure; maybe still riding or just relaxing in your hotel for a while, before you return to the Paradise Room at 20:00 for the "Medical Mayhem" themed 'Coaster Crazy Show!' You are welcome to dress up (optional) in anything that is connected to the Medical Theme (doctor, nurse, ambulance crew, patient etc.) or however you interpret it! As usual you will enjoy an evening of lively entertainment featuring new acts, games, the ever-popular Gong Show and some great prizes. And by popular demand we will end the day with another Club party, a non-stop mix of great dance and party tunes to keep you on your feet! You'll also be able to enjoy a final drink before the 23:00 close (approx.). Sunday starts at 10:00 in the Concourse Room (below the Paradise Room) and at 10:30 we have a one hour combined ERS on the classic Big Dipper and a surprise coaster! So, no less than five ERS's over two days! Plus if you then want to stay in the Pleasure Beach for the day, you can purchase a Sunday unlimited ride wristband or you can of course enjoy the rest of Blackpool, visiting the piers, The Tower, etc. If you can only make one RCCGB trip this year, make it this one! USA 2012 - The "Pacific High Rollers" TourSaturday 26th May to Monday 4th June 2012 (Or Longer with Add-On) Location: San Francisco to Las Vegas (via LA & San Diego), USA It's USA time again, and this time it's over to the West Coast! Between May 26th and June 4th (or 7th with add-on) "USA 2012 - Pacific High Rollers" will take those who are attending to 7 parks in California and 1 in Nevada. They will fly from Heathrow to San Francisco and return from Las Vegas. And whilst there they will experience more than 50 coasters both big and small, with a few being ridden for the first time on a Club trip! Mega-GLOW-Mania 2012Date: To Be Confirmed Location: Oakwood Theme Park, Pembrokeshire, UK Real coasters are made of wooooood! Or as they say in Welsh "n sylweddol coasters gwneir chan allt!". Yes it is that time of the year when we head into Wales to visit Oakwood (in Narberth, Pembrokeshire), where a coaster crazy day of riding some wooooood await us! Summer Bash 2012Date: To Be Confirmed Location: Brean Leaisure Park, Somerset The Summer Bash is a one day event (and can be held in June, July or August!) and visits a different UK Park every year. In 2006 we visited Paultons Park in Hampshire, 2007 was Adventure Island in Southend-on-Sea, 2008 we had the Summer Bash at Great Yarmouth, 2009 it was at Flamingo Land and in 2010 it was held at Chessington World of Adventures. The venue for the last trip in 2011 was Brean Leisure Park in Somerset. They had a new coaster (relocated from BPB) which was the years new attraction and nice to be ridden again! |

Loopathon 2012Date: To Be Confirmed Location: Alton Towers & Drayton Manor, UK This is the last coastering event of the year for us when we visit Alton Towers & Drayton Manor for the annual loopathon weekend. More information and an application form will be available nearer the time. |
