It’s easily the best way to meet and get to know your fellow members whilst also riding some great coasters and enjoying some fabulous live entertainment. This is one trip that you’ll be talking about for weeks. So please come along and join in the fun! The weekend of non-stop action starts with 'Friday Fun' at 19:45 on Friday April 16th in the Paradise Room. Here you can enjoy a drink before sharing a great evening of top quality professional entertainment. I have lined up some class acts for you including a famous face from TV so you won't want to miss it. Following 'Friday Fun' you can have another drink or two before the 23:00 close. Saturday events start from 09.15 in the Paradise Room (tea/coffee, wristband issue). At around 10:00, we will head onto the Park for a combined one-hour Exclusive Ride Session (ERS) on The Big One and the classic Steeplechase. Following this you have free time to enjoy the Park and either use your 'season pass' or if you have pre-purchased one, an unlimited ride wristband for the discounted price of just £20 (normally £30!). At 11:30 those who want to can meet at the Derby Racer for a 'ride-take-over', and then everyone will re-group at 12:30 for lunch in the Paradise Room. The latest Club merchandise will be on display and available for purchase during lunch. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy the Park at your leisure before we then meet at 17:00 (time confirmed on day) at the World's #1 racing woodie, The Grand National for another one hour ERS and some hand slapping coaster crazy fun! You can then enjoy the early evening at your leisure; maybe still riding or just relaxing in your hotel for a while, before you return to the Paradise Room at 20:00 for the "Toga" themed 'Coaster Crazy Show!' You are welcome to dress up (optional) in anything that is connected to Rome, Egypt, Ancient Greece, or however you interpret it! As usual you will enjoy an evening of lively entertainment featuring new acts, games, the ever-popular Gong Show and some great prizes. And by popular demand we will end the day with another Club party, a non-stop mix of great dance and party tunes to keep you on your feet! You'll also be able to enjoy a final drink before the 23:00 close (approx.). Sunday starts at 10:00 in the Concourse Room (below the Paradise Room) and at 10:30 we have a one hour combined ERS on the classic Big Dipper and a surprise coaster! So, no less than five ERS's over two days! Plus if you then want to stay in the Pleasure Beach for the day, you can purchase a Sunday unlimited ride wristband at the special discounted price of just £20 (normally £30). If not, you can of course enjoy the rest of Blackpool, visiting the piers, The Tower, etc. If you can only make one RCCGB trip this year, make it this one! Mega-GLOW-Mania 2010 Date: Saturday 14th August 2010 (TBC) Location: Oakwood Theme Park, Pembrokeshire, UK The information below is an example itinerary of the event based on the 2009 trip. The exact details for the event will be announced in due course and will be contained on the trip invite which will be posted to your door and appear on this page. Yes it's time to head down to Wales's number one park Oakwood (in Narberth, Pembrokeshire), where a coaster crazy day of riding some real wood awaits us! The megatastic day will start and finish on the excellent woodie Megafobia! The merriment begins at around 09:00 with a one hour exclusive ride session (ERS) on the UK's number one woodie Megafobia! This is followed by an optional 'Speed' takeover, then freetime where as usual you can form groups and take over each ride one by one. New for 2009, the park no longer had its After Dark event - BUT they still wanted us to enjoy our annual dark ERS which took place at 21:00 (until 22:00). Because the park closes at 18:00 you will have to "kill" 3 hours. So you can either pop back to your B&B or the RCCGB Campsite or have some fun at CC2000 with a game of 10-pin bowling and a Crystal Maze Challenge (for a nominal extra charge). We should re-enter the Park at around 20:45 for our grand finale! And just what is that? Well it's one of the best ERS's you will ever experience - Mega-GLOW-Mania! A full one hour of "glowing" ERS! Yes music and lights whilst you ride in the dark! So bring anything that flashes or glows (nothing too big though - remember safety first) and we will then create our very own lightshow on Megafobia as it flies round the track to a specially mixed musical accompaniment that may include a bit of Verka! A fabulous way to end a wonderful day. Don't miss it! More details will be posted here when known, and the application form will be available in PDF format when available. |

Loopathon 2010 Date: Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October 2010 Location: Alton Towers & Drayton Manor, UK The information below is an example itinerary of the event based on previous trips. The exact details for the event will be announced in due course and will be contained on the trip invite which will be posted to your door and appear on this page. Time for the last UK event of 2010 and the final big event of the coaster season, and what a great way to finish! A loopy weekend with ERS's on at least 4 top rides. In 2008, our ERS's were on Oblivion, Nemesis, Apocalypse and G-Force!. Loopathon is a two park weekend with us visiting Alton Towers on the Saturday and Drayton Manor on the Sunday. On Saturday we will be visiting Alton Towers with a morning ERS (TBA). This is followed by freetime and your chance to form groups and takeover rides like AIR, Spinball Whizzer, Rita and more. At 12:30 we usually meet together in the Corporate Hospitality Suite for an optional hot lunch (with licensed bar!) . Here the Merchandising stand will be available with a full range of RCCGB Clothing and Collectables. The day ends with another ERS (TBA), and of course - it will be dark! If you have any items left over from the previous trip - Mega-GLOW-Mania, bring them along and create a GLOWathon! On Sunday we will meet at 09:00 at Drayton Manor Park in Tamworth. The day normally starts with an ERS on Apocalypse (TBC) where you can try the three options, sit-down, stand-up, and stand-up with no floor! After this, you'll be given a wristband for unlimited riding, and we all usually take over Maelstrom! A generous buffet in The Tower is included at 12:30 and the day ends with a dark ERS (TBA). What a great end to the 2010 coaster season! More details will be posted here when known, and the application form will be available in PDF format when available. |
