RCCGB All Club Trips 2006

Your Help Needed!

The Webmaster simply cannot be at every event that the club offers & therefore the old trip reports do not happen. If there are any budding authors & photographers out there I would be very grateful to receive a brief trip report with a few pictures after each club event. Your help wpuld be very much appreciated and will enable other club members to see what we do should they also not be able to make a trip.

2006 LATEST EVENTS

THE DATE:                 Wednesday 22nd March 2006
THE LOCATION:       Thorpe Park
THE EVENT:               Stealth Testing
THE RIDERS:              RCCGB members (am ) & a few employees then ERS @ 6:00pm

Note:  The Park will be closed, no other rides or attractions will be open.  The Club can not be held responsible for Stealth not running due to technical problems.
 

Join us on our yearly bash @ Blackpool Pleasure Beach, this year it's Pantomime theme so come along.

Wed 3rd May – Depart Heathrow for Detroit. Drive to around 70% of journey
to Holiday World.

Thur 4th May – Complete drive in time for 11.00am arrive at Park. Afternoon
spent riding Voyage (with media coverage).

Fri 5th May – More Voyage riding and media. Plus riding of Legend and Raven
as part of staff training!

Sat 6th May – Official opening of Voyage and whole Park. Leave mid-late
afternoon for journey to Kings Island.

Sun 7th May – Full day in Kings Island (ERS’s being worked on). When we
leave Park (approx 9pm), we will make some of the journey to Cedar Point.

Mon 8th May – Finish journey and arrive in time for morning ERS. Whole day
in Park (ending with ERS).

Tues 9th May – Shopping Mall and return to Detroit for flight home.

Wed 10th May – Arrive home around 7.00am in morning (Heathrow)

You will be riding Voyage 2 days before opening, 1 day before opening and
then on the day of opening! Plus there will be loads of other unique events including a UK v USA
baseball game, quiz night, crazy golf challenge, meal with park owners,
manufacturer talk, etc. This is the hotel booked for the time we are at Holiday World:

This is very special and unique trip just for RCCGB members and will have
strictly limited space. I will confirm the price soon but I am hoping it will be no more than £700. Deposits will be required around November (probably £150), then 1st payment
in January and final payment in March.

Note: This trip is in addition to "USA 2006 ~ FFF" to Florida in November.

PAULTON'S PARK, Ower nr Romsey, Hampshire
Saturday 1st July ( Member booking deadline Saturday 17th June 2006 )

This year's Summer Bash takes place at Paulton's Park in Romsey, Hampshire (not far from Southampton).  It is home to the new Cobra coaster which of course we will have an ERS on!
More details soon, but make a note in your diary.

Trip Report

Club merchandise will this year be on sale in the car park from around 8:30 so that you can make purchases before entering. Please look out for the sign detailing where although we are hoping to be near the entrance to make it easy. Dependant on the weather we may be selling again after lunch.

Our yearly trip to Alton Towers on the Saturday then Drayton Manor Park on the Sunday, all the club merchandise will again be presnt in the hospitality suite at lunchtime on the Saturday at Alton Towers.

Yearly ski trip to the French Alps - FULLY BOOKED

Our yearly trip to Blackpool, this year Nev has arranged a school theme

Extra day added, now runs through to June 12th - NOW FULLY BOOKED

Our bi-annual trip to the States starting in Atlanta visiting 2 countries & 12 different states featuring some 15 parks to include:

Dollywood, Beechbend, Holiday World, Six Flags St Louis, Celebration City, Silver Dollar City, Worlds of Fun, Adventureland, Valleyfair, Mount Olympus, Six Flags Great America, Cedar Point and more! Ending in Chicago the trip will have encompassed some 90 coasters.
